Future Perspectives for Biosafety in Brazil | Juniper Publishers

Image
Future Perspectives for Biosafety in Brazil by Luiz Antonio Barreto de Castro | Juniper Publishers The Biosafety legislations were paramount for the development of Biotechnology in Brazil. I became familiarized with the theme as a consultant for the World Bank that demanded that Brazil had available guidelines in this area to celebrate a contract with Brazil in the area of Science and Technology. I elaborated the Biosafety Guidelines for the PADCT/ Biotechnology that became effective in 1986, very much using subsidies that were available in the Guidelines produced by the NIH after the Asilomar Conference during the seventies. We had no Biosafety Lawin Brazil until the Law 8974 [ 1 ] was enacted in January of 1995.The law called for the establishment of CTN Bio-Technical National Commission of Biosafety. As National Secretary for Research and Development at the Ministry of Science and Technology I established the first CTN Bioteam and was President of the Commission ...

Adaptive Quantum Computation in Changing Environments Using a Multi-Mimotopic Algorithmic Approach for Biclustering Analysis of Expression Data Projective Simulation on an Anticancer Peptide SVS-1 Multipharmacophore as a Potential Drug-Like Efficator in Preceding Membrane Neutralization | Juniper Publishers

Adaptive Quantum Computation in Changing Environments Using a Multi-Mimotopic Algorithmic Approach for Biclustering Analysis of Expression Data Projective Simulation on an Anticancer Peptide SVS-1 Multipharmacophore as a Potential Drug-Like Efficator in Preceding Membrane Neutralization by Nikolaos SG in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability International Journal | Juniper Publishers Anticancer peptides (ACPs) are polycationic amphiphiles capable of preferentially killing a wide spectrum of cancer cells relative to non- cancerous cells. Their primary mode of action is an interaction with the cell membrane and subsequent activation of lyric effects however it remains controversial the exact mechanism responsible for this mode of action. It has in previous studies been shown that utilizing zeta potential analyses it was possible to demonstrate the interaction of a small anticancer peptide with membrane model systems and cancer cells. Enhanced Efficacy and Bioavailability of Skin-Care Ingredients Using Liposome and Nano-liposome Technology | Juniper Publishers

Image
Enhanced Efficacy and Bioavailability of Skin-Care Ingredients Using Liposome and Nano-liposome Technology by Mozafari MR in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers Skin is considered to be the largest and fastest-growing organ in Human body and plays an important role in providing protection from pathogens and environmental factors. Due to its large surface area, skin is susceptible to a variety of conditions including acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, cellulitis and rosacea. External factors such as skin care products, exogenous chemicals, and the weather can influence the skin from outside while the food and medicines consumed by individuals can lead to the development of skin disorders from inside the body. Although there are numerous products on the market for skin conditions and skin health and beauty, active research and development for potent remedies are still ongoing. An efficient strategy to enhance the ...

Impact of Magnetic Nanomaterials on Biotechnology and Biomedicine | Juniper Publishers

Image
Impact of Magnetic Nanomaterials on Biotechnology and Biomedicine by RV Mehta in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers This note describes certain salient features of magnetic nanoparticles and their applications in biotechnology and biomedicine. Twenty first century is said to be the century of nanomaterials and nanotechnology. The word nano is derived from Greek word ‘nano’ means ‘dwarf’. It is one billionth of 1 meter. A page of this journal is about 100,000 nanometers thick. Atomic diameter of gold is nearly one third of a nanometer. So a gold nanoparticle will have only 3-4 atoms .Like this any material at Nanoscale will have only few atoms. In larger particles there are very large numbers of atoms and application of quantum mechanics in multi body is extremely difficult, time consuming and results of classical mechanics and that derived from quantum mechanics are not significantly different. While at Nanoscale situation is ...

Book Review 'Mencegah, Merawat Dan Memulihkan Penagih Dadah: Beberapa Pendekatan Dan Amalan Di Malaysia' (Malay Version) by Uqbah iqbal in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers Written by Mahmood Nazar Mohamed, efforts to treat and rehabilitate drug addicts should be continued by seeking more effective treatment procedures and methods. With reduced dependency on drugs, then intergratically, other ancillary problems have also been resolved such as criminal behavior, antisocial and other miscellaneous activities. In this regard, it is the responsibility of all parties involved, whether government agencies, NGOs or researchers to identify and implement more effective treatment and remedial methods. The Malaysian government has taken an active and decisive step in 2003 to combat drug abuse completely. Therefore, in 2003 it was gazetted as the Year of Fighting Drug Outpatient. All parties have been called upon to mobilize ...
