Biocorona: The Shadowed Side of Nanoparticles | Juniper Publishers

Biocorona: The Shadowed Side of Nanoparticles by Fabiola Porta in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers Under physiological conditions nanomaterials encounter a vast number of proteins in circulation. Those two dynamically interact with each other forming the so called biocorona. Accordingly, the biocorona is the layer of proteins in direct contact with the surface of nanomaterials, which may influence physical parameters of colloidal suspensions and thereby impact pharmacokinetics and dynamics of the formulated compound. Even though many experimental data have been gathered to understand the formation and the composition of the biocorona, the physiological impact of this protein layer is still a pristine area of research. The nature of the nanomaterials and the surface modifications performed to achieve controlled release of bioactive compounds influence thoroughly the nature of the biocorona. The focus of this review ...

Adaptive Quantum Computation in Changing Environments Using a Multi-Mimotopic Algorithmic Approach for Biclustering Analysis of Expression Data Projective Simulation on an Anticancer Peptide SVS-1 Multipharmacophore as a Potential Drug-Like Efficator in Preceding Membrane Neutralization by Nikolaos SG in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability International Journal | Juniper Publishers Anticancer peptides (ACPs) are polycationic amphiphiles capable of preferentially killing a wide spectrum of cancer cells relative to non- cancerous cells. Their primary mode of action is an interaction with the cell membrane and subsequent activation of lyric effects however it remains controversial the exact mechanism responsible for this mode of action. It has in previous studies been shown that utilizing zeta potential analyses it was possible to demonstrate the interaction of a small anticancer peptide with membrane model systems and cancer cells. Enhanced Efficacy and Bioavailability of Skin-Care Ingredients Using Liposome and Nano-liposome Technology by Mozafari MR in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers Skin is considered to be the largest and fastest-growing organ in Human body and plays an important role in providing protection from pathogens and environmental factors. Due to its large surface area, skin is susceptible to a variety of conditions including acne, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, cellulitis and rosacea. External factors such as skin care products, exogenous chemicals, and the weather can influence the skin from outside while the food and medicines consumed by individuals can lead to the development of skin disorders from inside the body. Although there are numerous products on the market for skin conditions and skin health and beauty, active research and development for potent remedies are still ongoing. An efficient strategy to enhance the ...

A Review on: Prevalence of “OBESITY” in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Special Reference to Tabuk Region by Farhina Pasha in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers KSA is ranked 3 rd in the world obesity ranking according to Arab news. It is reported that approximately 72.4% of Saudis over the age of 40 suffer from obesity and 35.6% in Saudi society, of whom 44% are women and 26.4% of men, are obese. The rate of obesity among Saudi children is about 18% and is dangerously showing an increasing trend [ 1 ]. Therefore Obesity in Saudi Arabia is a growing health concern with health officials stating that it is one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in Saudi Arabia. As per Forbes, Saudi Arabia ranks 29 th 2007 list of the fattest countries.
