A Review on: Prevalence of “OBESITY” in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Special Reference to Tabuk Region by Farhina Pasha in Modern Applications of Bioequivalence & Bioavailability | Juniper Publishers

KSA is ranked 3^rd in the world obesity ranking according to Arab news. It is reported that approximately 72.4% of Saudis over the age of 40 suffer from obesity and 35.6% in Saudi society, of whom 44% are women and 26.4% of men, are obese. The rate of obesity among Saudi children is about 18% and is dangerously showing an increasing trend [1]. Therefore Obesity in Saudi Arabia is a growing health concern with health officials stating that it is one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in Saudi Arabia. As per Forbes, Saudi Arabia ranks 29^th 2007 list of the fattest countries.
